Prairie Dog Run and Unnecessary Spending!

This morning was my 4 mile run!  It was great!  A little cold at the beginning, but perfect after it started!  I ran an 8:41 pace according to my Garmin!  It was great!  I even sped up the last quarter to half  mile to a 7:30 pace! I finished 2nd in my age group!

This is how we warm up!

Take Off!  Our local running club FINALLY got Chip timing!  We are moving on up!

Coming In!

FINISHED!

Maricarmen ran the race also!  She works with my mom!  She rocked the race, and she is just too cute!

I am so glad that I have  huge support from John!  He woke up at 7:00 and got ready just to take pictures of me!  I love that he wants to go watch me run and has fun doing it!
He even kept up with this dude for 2 hours while taking pictures of me!

So, yesterday after school I went to Old Navy... just because I wanted to!  I bought a few shirts and a running top (like I needed another one)

Super Cute! I wore it today!  Loved it!  It cost me $8.50! Bargain Shoppin' right there!

Then I was reading on Crystal's blog about the Old Navy sale today! So Danielle and I went!  Of course, we didn't buy the $9 dresses we bought the more expensive (but, still cheap)!

These tank's were 5 buckaroos!  I bought some Friday after school, and then bought some more today!  AHHH!  Did I really need all these clothes... NOPE, but I wanted them!

Well, tomorrow is John's Birthday!  He is turning the big 29!

 Happy Birthday, John! :o)

Still no Jillian Michaels DVD (GRRRR!) So, I am going to try and do a long run tomorrow if I have time with all this partying we will be doing! I'll let you know how that turns out!

Hope you have a great Saturday Night and Awesome Sunday!

  2. I enjoyed reading your blog. I found it interesting we have some similarities. We were both down in Austin for the race on Feb. 20th. I share the same name with your fiance, and I got married on June 3rd (2000). Oh, and one of my sons in 1st grade.

  6. Second in your age group - AMAZING! You are a rock star, girl! That's my dream to place in my age group. Good for you! Sometimes I feel bad for my husband that he ended up married to a runner - its such a boring sport to watch! He's so supportive so I sort of wish I played basketball or something that was indoors and more exciting. Your new running tank is super cute, I'm upset I didn't see that and the other striped one when I went to old navy!
