OHhhh Snap!

Tonight has gone like this...

That would be his pink pig that he has demolished!

To him jumping up every five seconds running to the door to scare off the trick or treaters (Poor Kiddos!)

To me "attempting" to make Oh Snaps!
They are super easy to make and super delish, but of course I can't follow directions and BURN the chocolate... OH SNAP!

Ingredients:

 1.  Lay out pretzels on a cookie sheet
2. I thought you use Hershey Kisses... NO!  You have to use Rolos!
3.  Put in the oven for abot 5 minutes and once you take them out DO NOT put them back in the oven... My Mistake! :o(
3.  While still warm put a piece of candy corn in the middle!

This is the way they are suppose to turn out

NOT LIKE THIS!
BLAH!

On another note!
Yesterday when i sncuk out shopping while my hubby was alseep... I came home with these oh soooo cute things!!

Do you make something special for the holidays?
 - I attempt.  I always try to be FeStIvE, but sometimes it just doesn't work out!

Do you dress up for Halloween?
-Nope! Not anymore!  I'm old and boring! :o)

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Rockin' and Runnin'!

Hope everyone has had a ROCKIN Weekend!

I haven't posted since Tuesday, so let me catch you up real quick!  I ran on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Those were quick 3-4 miles runs!  I am trying to keep those all under a 8:45 pace.  So far so good!

Today, I ran my long run!  I slept in a little late this morning due to us watching Tech get their booties kicked last night.  I started about 10 this morning and ran 8 miles!  AHHH! It felt amazing!  I never stopped, slowed down or anything!  It was great!  My morning started off with my greek yogurt (blueberry), orange juice, and a cup of coffee with Pumpkin Spice creamer (DELISH!!!)  I let it settle for about 30 minutes and took off!  I felt really good until mile 6.  I got really hungry. I have been trying to train with GU, but I don't know if that is doing it for me!  I only took one (that might be my problem!) If I take more I get super thirsty and I don't run with water or anything.  SOooo, I am still trying to figure out what I can do to not get so hungry!

Advice please??

Oh and did I mention that I haven't gotten a side stitch while running in a couple of weeks! YEA!  The only thing that I can figure out is that I am not eating a lot or at all before I go run!  So far it has worked, but I am also getting tired more easily!  I have been reading up on side stitches and this website has some great information.

Don't eat within one hour of running and only eat lightly within three hours of running. DO DRINK FLUIDS!!! The stomach drains fluids rather quickly. Dehydration is one of the most common causes of fatigue and should be avoided.

Me not drinking liquids about 1-2 hours of me running has also helped me not having to stop and go to the bathroom!  BLAH... I hate having to stop and go to the bathroom!

Next weekend My hubby and I are headed to the mountains!  We rented a cabin and we are taking our big teddy bear with us!

This picture is a couple of months old, but I was too lazy to get the camera out of the car.  Boss Man is weighing in at about 150 lbs these days.  He loves to snuggle, cry, whine, bark at you, boss you around if you are not paying 100% attention to him!  Like I said, he is a big giant NEEDY teddy bear, but I wouldn't trade him for the world!  I will definately be posting pictures of him in the mountains!

Hope everyone has a great week!
About to head to the store and go shopping at Old Navy.  I have a stuff the bag deal!  But SHHHH! My hubby is asleep right now so I have to sneak out so I can go shop!  :o)

Happy Halloween!  Hope you have a great day!

The way I feel... or look!

I ran tonight pretty late or for muah!!  Later than I normally do.  So by the time I got ready and hit the road it was already past 7:30 and somewhat dark outside... I hate running in the dark, but I did what I do to get the running in!

Today while looking on facebook I saw a picture and it soooo reminded me of ME!  This is exactly the way I feel!

Does anyone else feel like this?

Which came first the chicken or the egg??

Workout:  Spin class - 60 minutes
                 Stair Climber - 15 minutes

________________________________________________________________________

Today has been crazy busy and I feel as though I have accomplished nothing besides come up with reasons I mean excuses of why I shouldn't go run today!  Yesterday was a long run, but I really wanted to go run tonight!  You know you get that feeling that you just want to??? Well I refrained and went to spin class!  I truly love that class!  It is an amazing workout and sweat just pours... literally!  After spin I came home and cooked some chicken so that we could have something to eat for a couple of days!

I don't think I have ever seen chicken breast this big!  They are huge!  I am scared to death to cook chicken soooo they have been cooking for over 30 minutes!  They are not even close to being burnt, but I am just scared to death of chicken!

How long do you cook your chicken?

What do you do for dinner during the week?

Do you ever get the urge to go run, but know you shouldn't?

Are you watching the World Series?  I am not a huge baseball fan, but it's hard not to watch when you get see

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Starting Up and Signed Up!!!

I haven't looked at blogs in like forever and tonight I decided to get on and read a few and it got me in the mood to start blogging again!  I loved blogging when I did it somewhat "regulary"!  So here I am again starting back up (story of my life for the past couple of months).  I started a few weeks ago running again and I think I have that under control now (just maybe)!  I started back serious about 4 weeks ago.  15-20 miles a week!  YEA!  That is huge improvement compared to this summer!
Summer is great and all, but this is what happened this last summer... whoops!

Today was my longest run since ummm my HONEYMOON back in June!  I did 7 miles this morning and it felt GREAT!  I loved every second of it!  BUT... for me to get serious about I have to have something to look forward too... so I signed up for The White Rock half marathon!

I am pretty excited about it!

Do you ever feel like you are always starting something back up?

What is your upcoming race?

What do you do to get back into something?
